Meet The Artist

Hey my name is Zach Anderson, thank you for taking the time to view my coastal surf and golf artwork. My medium is acrylic on canvas and wood. When I was young, my family saw signs of my artistic abilities and helped me learn basic fundamentals as an artist. It helped my aunt was an artist too. My brother and I took our first art classes locally together at the Renaissance of the arts. I then went to study art and various different styles in high school, community college and into design school. I grew up alongside my brother Jeremy, in Westlake Village, California. We grew up playing football, baseball and basketball until high school, but I switched it up and played volleyball. Around that transition I got really into skateboarding after a family friend who worked for Powell skateboards hooked me up with skateboards and videos to watch. My buddies and I would watch videos and skate all day. After enough slams on the concrete, surfing quickly grew on me, as did snowboarding. The rest is history. There are close similarities in how we individually approach drawing lines on a wave or mountain to creating artwork on a blank canvas. On your time, your move, with your own style. As my love for the outdoors grows, my awareness to protect our beautiful planet and wildlife has as well. I work full-time at Newport Beach Country Club and is where my art career started as a commissioned based artist. My dream is to become a full-time artist, share my story through my art, give back and inspire others to chase their dreams. I'm blessed for the opportunity to do what I love and to grow everyday as a person and artist! - 3A
